Session #3
The third building session only had five people working on models and a few guys who stopped by to visit.
Ed demonstrated applying filament tape to the top of a wing. After trimming the tape, he showed how to use an iron to work out a few wrinkles and create a better bond to the wing.
Dave was showing the progress he made on his fuslage and how to plane/sand a wing before applying spackle. He was later seen using Ed's hinge slotting tool to prepare the wing for ailerons.
Mike spent most of his time sanding dihedral angles on the root edge of wings for a Mustang and Spitfire. He also lightly sanded the spars so they would be ready to be glued into the wing cores.
Paul was working on a small electric powered model that he was building for a fellow club member. He also brought by his new Thorn kit for everyone to examine.
