MRCSS meeting minutes, January 15, 2009
Meeting called to order at 7:15 pm by Jeff Thompson
Topics discussed:
* Volunteers for various activities, functions, etc.
Members needed to step up to some of these tasks.
* Reduction of dues for unemployed members.
Voted to waive dues if paying dues is a hardship.
* Goals for the club:
Increase Membership:
Inexpensive advertisement ads
Media coverage at events
AMA exposure in magazine
Posting of flyers with pull off tabs at local hobby stores
Stickers for aircraft boxes at local hobby stores
Demos at schools and colleges
Free membership to MRCSS for students, (AMA or Park Flyer AMA
membership required)
* Electric Sailplane Presentation – Dave Edmondson
Setting up rules for electrics at thermal contests, etc.
Fly to desired height and kill motor
* Contest Calendar – Greg Stinson
Same as 2008
Need directors (Augie will do Dog Days)
$5.00 registration fee to cover event, (food and miscellaneous expenses)
Possibility of holding an invitational
* Summer meetings to be held at Southdale Library at regular scheduled times
