Welcome to The Minnesota Radio Control Soaring Society

If you'd like to experience R/C Soaring for yourself, contact any of the club officers to arrange a one-on-one, hands on, flying experience at one of our flying sites. If you need help building a model give us a call. There are members more than willing to help you when you get stuck or just want a second opinion.

We have designated Area Coordinators who are ready to help in all areas of soaring. We fly a wide variety of RC sailplanes models including hand launch, thermal duration, electric assisted gliders, aero-tow along with a very active contingent of slope flyers. No matter what soaring discipline interests you, chances are you will soon have a new soaring buddy.

Weather permitting we fly thermal duration most weekends, Spring through Fall, at two sites and we have members that slope soar all year round! Our sites are reserved exclusively for MRCSS/AMA members. If you are visiting our area, contact any of our club officers to make arrangements to fly at one of our sites.

Our Articles and Calendar pages will give you more insight about our club and flying activities.

The normal location for our meetings is the Southdale Public Library in Edina. Dates and times can vary according to room availability and time of the year. It is best to check the online event calendar for confirmation of the date, time and location of upcoming meetings.

Frequently club meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. However, winter meetings are usually held on Saturdays in order to have more time for demonstrations, building projects, and socializing. Sometimes meetings are cancelled in the Summer.

We hope that you find our site interesting and informational. As a member of MRCSS, we would be happy to help you enjoy the best flying sites the Midwest offers.
